1. [问] Look at something else, for example, a TV set. 为什么不说else something呢？


[答] else在修饰不定代词或疑问词时，通常需后置。如：


Don\'t lend the book to anybody else.


What else do you want to say?


2. [问] It is because in the modern world, English is widely used for business between different countries. because 在此句中引导的是什么从句？different countries 在这里指不止两个国家，为什么前面用between, 而不用among 呢？


[答]（1）because 引导的从句放在be动词之后，用作表语。因此，它引导的是一个表语从句。引导表语从句的词还有that，why, what, how等。如：

[答] 当分数、百分数等后接名词作主语时，谓语动词用单数还是复数，取决于它们后面名词的单复数形式。第一句中的名词books and newspapers是可数名词复数，故谓语动词用are；而第二句中的名词information是不可数名词，所以谓语动词用is。再如：


In our class three fifths of the students are girls.


Ninety percent of the work has been done.
